Opening Dates Announced for California Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Locations
Two Alamo Drafthouse Cinema locations in California will be opening this month, according to the movie theater company. Known for its no-texting, no-talking policy and its ability to serve food to patrons' seats with stealth efficiency, the company took over Silicon Valley locations in Mountain View and Santa Clara that were previously operated by Kerasotes ShowPlace Theatres, LLC. The Malco Summer Drive-In in Memphis, Tennessee is for sale, but still plans to open next month. Located about twelve miles east of downtown Memphis where I-40, I-240, and Sam Cooper Boulevard meet, the drive-in movie theater has been showing movies under the stars since it opened as a twin-screen operation in 1966.
