Ryan Coogler's action/adventure/horror movie Sinners is making big impressions with audiences, taking and holding the #1 spot in the weekly Box Office reports for the two weekends since its release on April 18, 2025.

The movie was released in traditional theaters as well as IMAX theaters, but it was also shown in the 70mm IMAX format as well. Since it was shot with IMAX film cameras, this allowed audiences to enjoy the movie in the format that was closest to how it was made. Sadly, the run was brief and it was limited to just eight locations in the United States, one in Canada, and one in England.

Jeff Goldstein, the president of global distribution for Warner Bros. Pictures, stated, "Audiences have spoken and we listened. If ever a film needed to be experienced in this incredible larger-than-life format, it’s Sinners. Ryan has delivered a film that has been embraced by fans who appreciate the craftsmanship that goes into creating a film for this screen-filling format and we wanted to give everyone the opportunity to see it—or see it again—in 70mm IMAX."

If you missed its IMAX 70mm release, or you just want to see it again, you're in luck! The movie is returning to the same eight U.S. movie theaters, as well as the location in Canada.
