The nominations for the 93rd annual Academy Awards were announced Monday, March 15, 2021 by actor-producer Priyanka Chopra Jonas and singer, songwriter and actor Nick Jonas. Broadcasting live from London, they announced the nominees in 23 categories.

The Oscars award ceremony will be held on Sunday, April 25, 2021, at Union Station Los Angeles and the Dolby Theatre® at Hollywood & Highland Center® in Hollywood, and will be televised live on ABC starting at 8pm ET/5pm PT.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic that began shutting down movie theaters nationwide in March 2020, this year likely marks a time when more people will have seen the nominated movies at home than in theaters.

Some of these movies are playing in theaters, while some have already made it to home video. Being nominated usually causes some of them to make a return appearance, especially with some markets just starting to loosen restrictions and there is a dearth of new movies being released. Head over to the Academy Award® Winners and Nominees page to see where and when they're playing!
