The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) today announced shortlists in nine categories for the 93rd Academy Awards®. This short-list will have to do until the actual nominees are announced March 15, 2021. The nominating process begins March 5 and goes until March 10.

The categories include: International Feature Film, Documentary Feature, Makeup and Hairstyling, Music (Original Score), Music (Original Song), Visual Effects, Documentary Short Subject, Animated Short Film, and Live Action Short Film.

The Academy Awards ceremony will be held Sunday, April 25, 2021 and will be televised on ABC.
