The Scene One Westgate Mall Cinemas in Amarillo, Texas has closed. It last day of operation appears to have been November 5, 2024, which is less than eight months after it opened in March of this year.

Located in the Westgate Mall along I-40 on Amarillo's west side, the movie theater was operated by Scene One Entertainment, which operates locations in Colorado, New York, South Carolina, and Virginia under the Scene One and BTM brands. The company was formerly known as BTM Cinemas and before that, Bow Tie Cinemas.

The theater was Scene One's only Texas location, and it no longer is displayed on the company's website. A phone number that we had for the theater is still active, but playing a message that mentions showtimes from August. We could not find any news articles about the theater closing.

Moviegoers in the area will need to visit one of the other nearby theaters, including the Cinergy - Amarillo in Amarillo and the Cinemark Hollywood 16 - Amarillo in Amarillo.
