The Greater Huntington Pierce Point 10 in Amelia, Ohio has closed.

Located along Ohio Pike near Bach Buxton Road, the movie theater's last day of business was April 30, 2024. The following message was posted to the theater's Facebook page the following day:

Important Announcement: Closure of Pierce Point Cinema 10

Dear Valued Guests,

We are saddened to announce the closure of Pierce Point Cinema 10, effective at the end of business on Tuesday, April 30, 2024. This decision wasn't easy, but, unfortunately, declining business and the high cost of necessary upgrades have made it unavoidable.

We want to express our deepest gratitude to each and every one of you who has supported us throughout the years. Your passion for the movies has been truly inspiring, and we are incredibly thankful for the memories we've created together.

While we must say goodbye for now, we remain hopeful that a new operator will step in to reopen the theater in the future. We believe in the power of community and the magic of the movies, and we hope to see the lights of Pierce Point Cinema shine once again.

The theater originally opened in August 2008 and was operated by GHTC Theatres. The company continues to operate three other locations, all in West Virginia.

Moviegoers in the area will need to visit one of the other nearby theaters, including the RJ Cinema Distillery & Taproom in Cincinnati, the Starlite Drive-in in Amelia, and the AMC Dine-In Anderson Towne Center 9 in Anderson Township.
