AMC Theatres has acquired seven locations formerly operated by Bow Tie Cinemas in Connecticut, Maryland, and New York.

The change appears to have taken effect earlier this month, as all seven locations provided their final updates as Bow Tie locations on April 15, 2022. None of the theaters have showtimes available at this point.

The Bow Tie Cinemas website displays the following message on the location pages of the affected theaters:

AMC Theatres is thrilled to welcome select Bow Tie Cinemas to the family and is excited to move forward together with you. Bow Tie Cinemas Bonus Tickets and Gift Cards are still accepted at the theater. Thank you for your patronage and we look forward to serving you at our other Bow Tie Cinemas locations.

As the transition process happens, the names of the theaters may change, but for now, the Bow Tie naming will be replaced by the AMC name.
