The JC Cinema in Battle Creek, Michigan is showing its first movies tonight, June 17, 2016, during a "soft opening" of the theater. Located on South Helmar Road, it was previously known as the Cheap Flicks discount movie theater., which closed in 2014.

The theater is being operated by Michigan-based Moore Theatres, which operates the Loma Theatre in Coloma, Wonderland Cinema in Niles, M-89 Cinema in Plainwell, and the Michigan Theatre - South Haven in South Haven. It is named after the late Joe Chabot of Moore Theatres.
