The Flagship Premium Cinemas - Churchville in Bel Air, Maryland is now open. Its first day of operation was November 8, 2024.

Located on Churchville Road between Bel Air and Churchville, the new movie theater is operated by Flagship Cinemas, which has locations in Maryland, Maine, New York, and Maryland. It is in the former location of the AMC Classic Churchville 7, which closed in May. Flagship Cinemas opened this theater in 2001 and operated it until it was sold to Digital Cinema Destinations Corporation in March 2014.

Two of the auditoriums were upgraded to the company's FPX premium large format, which the Flagship Cinemas website says has "state-of-the-art projection and upgraded sound systems." All auditoriums appear to have heated recliners.

An open house celebration will be held December 7, 2024 from 10am - 12pm.

Until now, moviegoers in the area will need to visit one of the other nearby theaters, including the Horizon Cinemas - Aberdeen in Aberdeen and the Horizon Cinemas - Fallston in Fallston. The closest Flagship Cinemas location is the Flagship Premium Cinemas - Eastpoint Movies 10 in Baltimore.
