The Marcus Twin Creek Cinema in Bellevue, Nebraska is showing movies again, but instead of a DreamLounger powered recliner, you'll need to bring your own chair. That's because the movies are being shown in the parking lot, on a 42-foot-wide screen mounted to the front of the building.

Marcus is calling this "Parking Lot Cinema" and you'll be enjoying a double-feature of movies from the comfort of your own vehicle, starting Memorial Day weekend. Gates will open at 7:30pm and the first movie will start at 9pm.

This weekend's starting lineup is E.T. The Extra Terrestrial followed by Jurassic Park, after a 15-minute intermission.

Tickets are $20 per car, and purchases are online only, so be sure to buy your tickets in advance!

Audio will be broadcast on 89.1FM. According to several news reports, patrons can watch from inside their vehicles or truck beds, as well as from chairs in front of their vehicles. Guidelines are probably going to adjust as they get experience with this, so be prepared to be flexible so that they can continue offering movies under the stars into the future!

The last time that the Omaha area had a drive-in was in 2006, when the Council Bluffs Drive-In closed. We could not find an operating drive-in within 50 miles.

To stay updated with the lineups in the future, please see the Showtimes page for the Marcus Twin Creek Cinema!
