The former Frank Theatres CineBowl & Grille + IMAX in the First & Main Shopping Center in Blacksburg, Virginia is now the Paragon First & Main + IMAX.
The theater was opened in February 2015 by Frank Theatres. The company filed for bankruptcy protection in 2018.
According to an article published recently in The Roanoke Times, the operation has been the subject of landlord-tenant disputes:
The theater was designed to serve as a primary attraction for the shopping center on Blacksburg’s busy South Main Street when Frank Entertainment Group opened the CineBowl in 2015.
Landlord-tenant disputes have plagued the business ever since. The disagreement spilled over into the courts in April 2017, when shopping center management unexpectedly chained the doors shut and claimed nearly $500,000 in unpaid rent.
