The AMC Classic Bloomington 11 in Bloomington, Indiana has closed.

Located a mile south of College Mall on Bloomington's east side, the eleven screen movie theater's last day of operation was September 15, 2023. A message announcing the news was posted on the theater's page on the AMC website:

AMC CLASSIC Bloomington 11 Has Permanently Closed

According to our records, the theater opened as the Kerasotes Showplace East 11 - Bloomington, under the management of Kerasotes ShowPlace Theatres, LLC. It became the AMC Showplace Bloomington 11 when AMC acquired Kerasotes in 2010. It was rebranded as the AMC Classic Bloomington 11 in 2017. 

Moviegoers in the area will need to visit one of the other nearby theaters, including the IU Fine Arts Theaters - Ryder Film Series, the IU Global and International Studies Theater, and the Indiana University Cinema. If you have AMC gift cards to use, the closest AMC location is the AMC Classic Bloomington 12 on the southeast corner of I-69 and West Third Street on the other side of Bloomington.
