The Miller Theatres in Blue Springs, Missouri has closed.
Located less than a mile north of I-70 on NW State Route 7, the eight-screen movie theater's last day of operation was May 1, 2025. It announced its closure on its social media page with the following message:
The Miller Theatres family has enjoyed being part of the community and sharing memories and movies with you and your family.
After Covid, Hollywood has failed to consistently release quality and quantity film product. As a result, it has became increasingly difficult for small independent theatre locations such as ours to survive and thrive in this environment. Therefore, the owners have decided to change direction.
Effective Thursday, May 1, Miller Theatres in Blue Springs will be closing.
We want to thank Blue Springs and surrounding communities for their support and patronage over the years. We will always together hold the love of movies in our hearts.Thank you,
The Miller Family
