The Phoenix Theatres - Boynton Cinema 8 in Boynton Beach, Florida hasn't shown movies since it closed in March 2020 because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Located in the Boynton Trail Centre shopping center on South Military Trail and Boynton Beach Boulevard remained on the website for parent company Phoenix Theatres Entertainment, LLC. as recently as September 2, 2022. However, as of today (October 24), the theater's listing has been removed.

What that means for the future of movies in that location is unknown, but it's a sign that Phoenix Theatres won't be involved. 

Moviegoers in the area will need to visit one of the other nearby theaters, including the Cinemark Boynton Beach 14 and XD in Boynton Beach and the IPIC Delray Beach and the Movies of Delray in Delray Beach. The closest Phoenix Theatres location is the Phoenix Theatres - Lake Worth 8 Cinemas in Greenacres, which is about six miles north. It's also the last Florida location for Phoenix Theatres, which has 11 locations around the country.

According to our records, the theater first opened September 3, 1999 as the Boynton Cinema. It closed in July 2019 as the Alco Boynton Cinema and was reopened in December 2019 as the Boynton Cinema 8 by Phoenix Theatres.
