Moviegoers in in Bronx, New York lost a place to watch movies when the Concourse Plaza Multiplex Cinemas closed in May 2024. Located just a block away from Yankee Stadium, the theater had been serving customers since 1991.
The theater's closure forced those moviegoers to visit one of the other nearby theaters, including the Maysles Cinema and the AMC Magic Johnson Harlem 9. Both theaters are about two miles away and more than 20 minutes if you take the subway.
Fortunately, that won't last long. The theater is set to reopen on March 21, 2025 under the management of Regal. Until we have an official name, we're going to refer to it as the Regal Concourse Plaza. The theater isn't listed on Regal's site yet.
