The Silverspot Cinema - Brookfield in Brookfield, Wisconsin was expected to open this month, but the company has announced that its new opening date is July 12, 2019.

This is the first Wisconsin location for Silverspot Cinema, which operates five other locations in Florida, North Carolina, and Ohio. Even with the short delay, the theater will be opening months ahead of its closest competition, the Movie Tavern by Marcus at Brookfield Square, which is currently under construction in the nearby Brookfield Square shopping center a few miles to the east, and is expected to open in October 2019. Currently, the closest movie theater is the Marcus Majestic Cinema of Brookfield, which is located about a mile to the west.
