Still from the movie

On this date in 2005, director Joe Wright's adaptation of Jane Austen's Pride & Prejudice opened in theaters.

It went on to garner four Academy Award nominations, including for Best Actress (Keira Knightley) and the Original Score by Dario Marianelli, as well as for Art Direction and Costume Design. While it didn't win the Oscar, the movie has prevailed as a favorite of many people. Our readers gave it a unanimous See Now! rating, and you can provide your own opinions as well.

While no movie theaters are currently showing the movie (which is a shame), it is available on Blu-ray and DVD, as well as via streaming services, including Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and others.

Good Morning America recently interviewed Keira Knightley as part of a promotion for another project, but they started out talking about her experience on this movie. You can check out that interview in the embedded video below, and watch more clips and the trailer on the Trailers & Videos page.

Those videos include the opening scenes as well as the ending, so if you don't have time to watch the entire movie again, you can enjoy some of the scenes in smaller chunks.

If you haven't seen the movie, please do yourself a favor and check it out. Be warned, however, it draws you in, and you may find yourself coming back to it from time to time!
