The Movies at Cranberry in Cranberry, Pennsylvania closed Sunday, January 15, 2023.

Located in the Cranberry Mall along US-322, the movie theater had three screens on one side of the mall hallway, and two on the other. According to our records, it opened in 2007. It posted the following announcement to its Facebook page on Tuesday, January 10:

Good morning…

We’ll, I’m sad to announce the decision has been made!!
Our final day here at Cranberry will be Sunday January 15…
We are so sorry but expenses just surpass our $$$ coming in.
It’s been our pleasure to assist and meet you all through our years here.

Today is our final bargain day, NO new movies will be coming here,but remember Meadville is staying open and will be happy to meet you.

Moviegoers in the area will need to visit one of the other nearby theaters, including the AMC Classic Clarion 7 in Clarion. If you have gift cards for the theater, you can visit The Movies at Meadville. Since that theater is almost 40 miles away, we recommend contacting them to make sure that they will honor the gift card you have.
