The B & B Creve Coeur West Olive 10 in Creve Coeur, Missouri is opening Thursday, May 18, 2023.

Located along Olive Boulevard just west of I-270, the theater was formerly known as the AMC Dine-in Theatres West Olive 16, which closed permanently in November 2020.

In January 2022, we mentioned that the theater was going to be reopened by B & B Theatres, with a renovations planned to begin in the fall. The company is based in Missouri, but has locations in fourteen states. It states that it is the fifth largest in the United States. Formerly a sixteen-screen location, the newly remodeled operation will have ten screens, which has become the sweet spot for movie theaters in recent years (gone are the days of 30-screen monster-plexes!).

Theater Amenities

Even though the screen count is lower, the opportunities for entertainment have increased. In addition to showing movies, this location will offer a restaurant, a full bar, a B-Roll bowling alley, a rock climbing wall, and an Outtakes video arcade.

All ten auditoriums will feature heated leather power reclining seats, with some having chaise-style recliners in the front row for stretching out while watching the movie. Some auditoriums will have MX4D motion seats that also have fog, wind, and scents that are cued to so-encoded movies.

One of the auditoriums will be the company's "Grand Screen" premium large format offerings, which offers an upgraded experience that includes a wide 70' x 40' screen, with a ScreenX installation, DTS:X immersive sound, a laser-powered digital projection system, and heated VIP reclining seats.

The theater also offers what it calls The Lyric, which is a tribute to the first B & B Theatres location from 1924. With wood-grained floors, "richly colored" wall curtains, and tray tables attached to the heated leather recliners, The Lyric is open to the public or it can be rented for special occasions. It has access to a separate bar and dedicated staff can be part of your next event.

Also available at the B & B Creve Coeur West Olive 10 will be B & B's screenPLAY! theater room, which is dedicated to families with small children. The auditorium has a play area for toddlers, as well as a playground complete with a slide, with music playing before the movie begins. The company recommends that you arrive 30 minutes before showtime so the kids can play and get their wiggles out before the movie begins.

Until now, moviegoers in the area will need to visit one of the other nearby theaters, including the AMC Creve Coeur 12 in Creve Coeur and the Landmark Plaza Frontenac Cinema in Frontenac. The closest B & B Theatres location is the B & B Wildwood 10 in Wildwood, which is about eleven miles southwest.
