Cinemark will open a dine-in movie theater in July 2020, according to a press release issued by the company recently.
The new theater will be in the Fairfield Town Center located off Highway 290 near the Grand Parkway (99), which is about 30 miles northwest of Houston. It will have eight screens with 4K Digital Cinema Projection systems and Cinemark's Luxury Lounger powered recliners. The key feature will be in-theater dining, where moviegoers will be able to choose from a menu of entrees, cocktails and beverages, and snacks and have them delivered to their seats.
"We are eager to introduce our CUT! by Cinemark concept to the Cypress community and greater Houston area," said Mark Zoradi, Cinemark CEO. "Whether seeing the latest blockbuster with the family or having dinner and drinks with friends, guests will enjoy this unique and fresh dine-in entertainment experience."
The amenities mentioned in the press release include:
- Eight ultra-modern auditoriums with wall-to-wall screens and enhanced sound systems
- Cinemark Luxury Loungers — electric-powered, plush, oversize recliners with footrests, swivel trays, cup holders and heat-controlled seats
- 4K digital projection powered by Barco projectors; RealD 3D capability in several auditoriums
- A unique and freshly prepared menu of cuisine to enjoy, from fan-favorite snacks to full meals and scrumptious desserts
- A full-service bar offering more than 20 popular beers, including local draft IPAs, as well as an impressive wine selection, specialty martinis and signature cocktails
- An inviting outdoor patio with a fireplace and interactive social games
- Walk-up, easy-to-use ticket kiosks with a welcoming guest services area
- Reserved seating with online and app ticketing capabilities
The Fairfield Town Center describes itself as "an open-air lifestyle venue" which has retailers and fast food restaurants.
The CUT! by Cinemark - Cypress in Cypress, Texas will begin construction in November and is expected to open in July 2020.
Until it opens, moviegoers in the area will need to visit one of the other nearby theaters, including the Cinemark 12 Cypress and XD down Highway 290 and the Star Cinema Grill - Cypress.
