The AmStar Cinemas 14 - Dallas in Dallas, Texas closed August 30, 2013.

The theater was owned by Southern Theatres, LLC., which reopened the theater in October 2011. Previously, AMC operated it as the AMC The Grand 24 until it decided not to renew the lease in 2010.

We have no further information as to the reasons for the closure or if it will reopen under new management. No press reports could be found.

Moviegoers in the area have plenty of choices, with 22 theaters within 10 miles, including the Cinemark 17 and IMAX Theatre.
