The EVO Entertainment - Prestonwood in Dallas, Texas is now open.

A grand opening event was held November 29, 2023 and the first full day of business was December 7, 2023. This is the eleventh location for EVO Entertainment and its second in the Dallas area (the EVO Entertainment - Southlake is about 20 miles west).

Located east of the Dallas North Tollway along Belt Line Road about fifteen miles north of downtown Dallas, the eight-screen movie theater has two premium Enhanced Viewing Experience (EVX) auditoriums that offer laser-powered projection equipment and Dolby Atmos immersive audio systems. In-theater dining is available in all auditoriums, and duckpin bowling lanes, an arcade, event spaces, and a full-service bar round out the list of featured amenities.

The theater originally opened March 29, 2013 as the LOOK Cinemas Prestonwood. It closed in July 2020 during the coronavirus pandemic-related shutdown of all theaters in the country. EVO Entertainment purchased the property in July 2021 and originally planned on opening it that October.

Until now, moviegoers in the area needed to visit one of the other nearby theaters, including the AMC Village on the Parkway 9 in Addison and the Studio Movie Grill - Spring Valley in Dallas.

PRESTONWOOD EVO LOCATION 

The group continues its expansion in Texas, unveiling a premier entertainment destination with eight theatres, duckpin bowling, and more.

Austin, Texas (November 8, 2023) – Elevate Entertainment Group (EEG) is thrilled to announce the grand opening of its highly anticipated EVO Entertainment Prestonwood location, marking its second cutting-edge entertainment destination in the Greater Dallas area. To celebrate this new location, EEG invites the public to attend the grand opening event on Wednesday, November 29th from 5 - 9 pm, for an evening packed with activities for everyone. As the Official Cinema and Entertainment Center of the Dallas Mavericks, guests can expect a former Mavs player meet and greet, performances from the Mavs ManiAACs, pictures with their mascot Champ, and exclusive giveaways. The celebration will extend throughout the weekend, showcasing a screening of the ManiAACs documentary, special happy hour offerings during Mavericks games, and a Mavs specialty cocktail. Spanning 54,684 square feet, the Prestonwood entertainment center boasts eight theatres, two of which are premium large format, an arcade with 75 games, duckpin bowling lanes, three private event spaces, and a full service bar area. The theatres have 725 reclining seats, including premium pods available in each theatre. EVO's food and beverages can be ordered in the theater via a QR code, or enjoyed at the full-service bar. Movie-goers can indulge in unlimited self-service popcorn, soda, and ICEE refills, a special that goes beyond opening weekend. In addition to cinematic experiences, guests can explore the family-friendly entertainment, while taking advantage of weekly offers, such as $5 movies every Tuesday, half-price games every Wednesday, and Mavs Game Day Happy Hour during every Mavs game.

Adding to the buzz, Tim Hardaway Sr., the esteemed 2022 NBA Hall of Fame inductee, five-time NBA All-Star, five-time All-NBA Team member, and 2000 Gold Medalist, will be in attendance, signing autographs and available for photo opportunities.
