The Century Blackhawk Plaza in Danville, California closed December 4, 2022.

Located on the outskirts of the Blackhawk Plaza shopping center near the intersection of Camino Tassajara and Blackhawk Road, the movie theater's closing follows that of the Regal Crow Canyon, which was about four miles away in San Ramon.

According to a statement from Cinemark published in the Patch (see below), the theater was at the end of its lease and the closure was a normal adjustment of their theater operations.

Moviegoers in the area will need to visit one of the other nearby theaters, including The LOT - City Center in San Ramon, the Regal Hacienda Crossings 20 & IMAX in Dublin, and the Cinemark Walnut Creek 14 and XD in Walnut Creek.
