The Our Town Cinemas in Davidson, North Carolina has closed. Located in the Sadler Square Shopping Center near Griffith Street and North Main Street, the movie theater's last day of operation was October 31, 2024.

The theater posted the following message on Facebook a day later:

Well, my friends, we have reached the end of a true era. Yesterday was our final day of operation here at Our Town Cinemas while the renovations begin at Sadler Square. We want to thank you all for your patronage and the solid friendships and support that we have gained over these many years. I will leave you with this final thought: We prefer to say see you later, rather than goodbye.

According to news reports (see list below), tenants in the shopping center were given 30 days to close at the beginning of October. Piedmont Capital Real Estate purchased the shopping center in February.

Moviegoers in the area will need to visit one of the other nearby theaters, including the Regal Birkdale Stadium 16 & RPX in Huntersville, the AmStar 14 - Mooresville in Mooresville, and the Cinergy - Charlotte in Charlotte.
