The Grand Opening of the movie theater in the Shoppes at Deerfield shopping center in Deerfield Beach, Florida has been scheduled for Thursday, March 20, 2025.

Located on West Hillsboro Boulevard and South Powerline Road, the theater is located in the building that was formerly known as the VIP DB Cinemas, which closed in 2023. When it opens tomorrow, it will be called the Paragon Deerfield IMAX & Axis15 Extreme, and will be operated by Paragon Entertainment, LLC. The company currently operates four other movie theaters in Florida and North Carolina, with a fifth location in Falls Church, Virginia scheduled to open in 2025.

According to the company's website, their newest location has been renovated and upgraded. Some highlights of the eight-screen movie theater include:

• Lux Box Dine-In Service in all auditoriums - order food and drinks, delivered before and during the movie
• An Axis15 Extreme auditorium featuring a 15-degree tilted screen illuminated by a 4K laser-powered projection system, with a Dolby Atmos immersive sound system
• A Director's Room private screening room features 49 lounger seats with a 20' screen, plus Dine-In Service
• An IMAX with Laser auditorium with over 100 seats, including a Lux Box Dine-In Service area

Showtimes

Until now, moviegoers in the area will need to visit one of the other nearby theaters, including the Silverspot Cinema at the Promenade in Coconut Creek and the VIP Shadowood 16 in Boca Raton.
