With the tentative deal being struck with the actors strike, the strike's impact on release schedules is not done yet. As the production train begins moving again, it will take some time for studios to decide what, if any, release date changes are going to be necessary.

Disney recently changed the release dates of several of its upcoming Marvel movies, as well as the upcoming Lion King prequel:

Deadpool 3

The follow-up to Deadpool 2 from 2018 was going to kick off the 2024 summer movie season on May 3, but it is now going to be coming to theaters on July 26 instead.

Captain America: Brave New World

Deadpool's change is causing the new Captain America movie to shift off its July 26 date to the following year. Captain America: Brave New World will open February 14, 2025.

Blade

The Marvel shuffle continues with Blade moving off Captain America's Valentine's Day 2025 release date and aiming for a November 7, 2025 date instead.

Thunderbolts

It sounds as though Thunderbolts didn't even get started, so its original December 20, 2024 release wasn't going to work, especially with how busy Disney's people are going to be playing catch-up. Its new release date is now July 25, 2025.

Mufasa: The Lion King

While not a Marvel universe movie, the planned prequel to The Lion King from 2019 has been moved from July 5, 2024 to December 20, 2024. Although, the idea of some version of Mufasa as an Avenger isn't a bad crossover idea...

That rounds out the Disney change news, but we will just mention here that Sony's Venom 3 was changed recently from July 14, 2024 to November 8, 2024.
