A new family entertainment center is coming to the Eastlake Market Place in El Paso, Texas that will offer a variety of options, including movies, games, bowling, and more. The Gamescape by Cinemark at El Paso is expected to open soon.

The Eastlake Market Place is located at the interchange of I-10 and Eastlake Boulevard southeast of dowtown El Paso. It was going to be the location of a Cinemark Movie Bistro location that we named use Cinemark Movie Bistro - Eastlake Marketplace when it was announced in 2019 and had an expected Fall 2020 opening date. The project was put on hold in July 2020, following the pandemic-related shutdowns of theaters across the country. The Cinemark Movie Bistro - El Paso in the Sunland Park Plaza was closed permanently at that time as well.

At the time, combining restaurants into movie theaters was very popular, but now, such family entertainment centers have become quite popular as the industry tries to appeal to a wider audience. Combining movies, bowling, arcades, and even mini-golf and go-kart tracks has become increasingly popular with new movie theater construction projects.

Operated by Cinemark, which has movie theaters in nearly 500 locations across the United States and Latin America, this is the company's first foray into the Family Entertainment Center (FEC) concept. The company is no stranger to El Paso, with the Cinemark Tinseltown Las Palmas XD and ScreenX, Cinemark East Montana and XD, and Cinemark Cielo Vista Mall 14 and XD all within ten miles of this theater's location.

Amenities at the Gamescape by Cinemark at El Paso

According to Cinemark's website, the following amenities will be available at the Gamescape by Cinemark at El Paso:

• Seven Movie Theater Auditoriums, including two premium XD auditoriums
• Bowling on eighteen lanes
• Arcade Games
• Laser Tag
• Climbing and Ropes Course
• Restaurant and Bar

If you wish to avoid the crowds, the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema - East El Paso is located just ten minutes north off Texas 375 and Pelicano Drive, and the Cinemark Tinseltown Las Palmas XD and ScreenX is about six miles up I-10 off George Dieter Drive.
