The Premiere Cinemas - Montwood in El Paso, Texas closed last March, but now, its closure appears to be permanent.

Located in the Montwood Mall on the northeast corner of Montwood Drive and North Yarbrough Drive, the theater closed March 19, 2020 along with all other movie theaters across the country. While other theaters are beginning to reopen, the Montwood theater has been removed from the website for Premiere Cinemas. The website continues to list 23 locations across the country, including 11 in Texas.

Where to Watch Movies on the Big Screen

Moviegoers in the area will need to visit one of the other nearby theaters, including the AMC Classic East Pointe 12, the Cinemark Cielo Vista Mall 14 and XD, and the Cinemark 20 and XD. The closest Premiere Cinemas location is the Premiere Cinemas - El Paso Premiere LUX Cine 17 IMAX, which is about four miles west in the Bassett Place shopping center on Gateway Boulevard.
