The movie theater in the Brickyard Square shopping center in Epping, New Hampshire will be closing after this weekend.

The last day of operation for the O'Neil Cinemas - Brickyard Square 12 on the southwest corner of the intersection of Routes 101 and 125 will be Sunday, March 15, 2026. The 12-screen movie theater has been operated by O'Neil Cinemas since it opened in October 2012. The announcement was made on the company's website and social media:

Our Epping, NH Location is Closing After its Final Showings on Sunday March 15, 2026

After many years of welcoming moviegoers from across the Seacoast, we share the difficult news that O'Neil Cinemas in Epping will close following its final showings on Sunday, March 15, 2026.

This decision was not made lightly. Changing industry conditions, rising operating costs, and the significant investment required to modernize the theater made it impossible for us to continue operating the Epping location at the level of experience our guests deserve.

We are deeply grateful to our dedicated staff and to the community who made Epping a special place to gather, celebrate, and enjoy the magic of movies together.

Guests may continue to redeem passes and gift cards in Epping through March 15 or at our Londonderry, NH and Littleton, MA theaters.

Thank you for being part of our story. We hope to welcome you soon at one of our other locations.

O'Neil Cinemas will continue to operate two other locations in New England: the O'Neil Cinemas - Londonderry in Londonderry, and the O'Neil Cinemas - The Point 8 in Littleton, Massachussets. The Londonderry location opened in November 2025 after being renovated from its former operation as an AMC movie theater. At that time, news reports mentioned that the company intended to renovate the Epping location, but a recent article by WMUR (see below) mentions that renovations were necessary for the Brickyard Square location, but its revenue could not support the investment.

Where to Watch Movies on the Big Screen After It Closes

After Sunday, moviegoers in the area will need to visit one of the other nearby theaters, including the BarnZ's Barrington Cinema in Barrington and the Regal Fox Run in Newington. If you have O'Neil Cinemas gift cards to use, the closest location is the O'Neil Cinemas - Londonderry, which is about 18 miles away.
