The Odyssey Cinemas - Fond du Lac in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin is currently closed for a remodeling project, and we stopped by a few days ago to see how it was going.

Located on West Scott Street (County Road OOO) just northwest of I-41 and Johnson Street, the movie theater is the only Wisconsin location for Odyssey Entertainment, Inc. It originally opened in 1998 as the Fond du Lac Theatre, owned by Dennis Frank and Paul Frank. The first photos we have of the theater are from 2009, one of which can be seen on the left in the photo above.

As you can see by the photo above, the exterior is receiving a very noticeable update. Gone is the teal and purple color scheme, and it has been replaced by a more current black and brown combination with stone work. The parking lot has been completely removed as well, so guests will be impressed before they ever step foot into the movie theater when it reopens.

When Will It Reopen?

We don't know exactly when the theater will reopen, but they are hiring new employees. You can find more information on the theater's Facebook page and website.

Until then, moviegoers in the area will need to visit one of the other nearby theaters, including the Marcus Oshkosh Cinema in Oshkosh and the Marcus Campus Cinema in Ripon.
