The Landmark Plaza Frontenac Cinema in Frontenac, Missouri has closed. Located about thirteen miles west of downtown St. Louis in the Plaza Frontenac shopping mall on Lindbergh Boulevard, the movie theater's last day of showing movies was Sunday, February 23, 2025.

The news was reportedly announced to employees of the movie theater sent on Valentine's Day, telling them that they would be out of jobs in two weeks' time. According to a report in December by the St. Louis Business Journal (see the list below), the owner of the mall sought to evict the theater for unpaid rent.

Landmark Theatres opened the six-screen movie theater in 1998. It was the only Missouri location for the company, which had previously operated the Landmark Tivoli Theatre in the University City neighborhood until 2021 and the Hi-Pointe Theatre near I-64 and McCausland Avenue until 2008.

Moviegoers in the area will need to visit one of the other nearby theaters, including the AMC Creve Coeur 12 in Creve Coeur, and the Marcus Des Peres Cinema and the Galleria 6 Cinemas in St. Louis.
