The Theatres of Georgetown in Georgetown, Kentucky will be closing June 12, 2025.
Located about 12 miles north of Lexington in the Georgetown Village shopping center (formerly Factory Stores of America Mall) on the northwest corner of I-75 and Paris Pike, the 7-screen movie theater has been sold and the new owners hope to reopen in July.
The theater announced the news by posting the following message on its Facebook page recently:
The Theaters of Georgetown will be closing June 12th, 2025. The property and operations has been sold. Plans are to reopen the theater in July.
We are going to miss our staff, managers and delivering great movies to the community.
It has been a pleasure to provide entertainment to Scott and surrounding counties for the past 15 years.
Showtimes
Movies are still showing until Thursday evening. To see what's playing and when, please visit the Showtimes page for the Theatres of Georgetown.
Come Friday, however, moviegoers in the area will need to visit one of the other nearby theaters, including the LexLive, the Kentucky Theatre, and the Regal Hamburg Pavilion in Lexington.
