The Pacific Glen Stadium 10 in Glenview, Illinois has closed for its conversion to an ArcLight Cinemas location. The theater will reopen on May 1, 2015, in time for the release of Avengers: Age of Ultron, according to the web site for Pacific Theatres, which purchased the theater from Regal Cinemas.

ArcLight Cinemas is a division of Pacific Theatres that takes moviegoing to a new level of experience and programming. Their locations are typically very well-done and they hold unique events, making the moviegoing experience there something very different from the standard multiplex outing.

The new theater is hiring staff members, so if you're interested in being a part of their team, check out their ArcLight Jobs web site for more info. ArcLight Cinemas will be opening another location in Lincoln Park in September 2015.

The closest competition for the new theater when it opens will be the MovieMax Cinemas and AMC Showplace Niles 12 in Niles, and the Regal Gardens 1-6 and Regal Gardens 7-13 in Skokie (as well as a few others). However, none of these locations offer the same kinds of amenities for which ArcLight Cinemas is known. Different options are a good thing for moviegoers, so hopefully, the new theater will find a following!
