After a few missed opening timeframes, the Golden Ticket Cinemas - Greenville Grande in Greenville, North Carolina is now open to the public! Its first day of operation was Friday, February 16, 2024.

Located on Greenville Boulevard SW just west of South Memorial Drive, the movie theater was previously known as the Regal Greenville Grande, which closed in September 2022 after parent company Cineworld filed for bankruptcy. It will be operated by Golden Ticket Cinemas, which operates nineteen other locations around the country, including the Golden Ticket Cinemas - Golden Ticket Cinemas 7 in Washington, which is about 20 miles away.

The movie theater was originally going to open in December 2023, but that was later pushed to late January. We much prefer that a theater do it right than do it quickly, so here's hoping that the wait was worth it! The company's website is advertising that the theater's Elite Experience auditorium offers "state of the art laser projection" and Dolby Atmos immersive sound, along with heated luxury recliners. The luxury recliners appear to be in every auditorium, but we're not sure if they are heated or not. An IMAX auditorium is expected to open in "Winter 2024."

Until now, moviegoers in the area needed to visit one of the other nearby theaters, including the AMC Fire Tower 12 in Greenville and the aforementioned Golden Ticket Cinemas - Golden Ticket Cinemas 7 in Washington.
