The Patriot Cinemas - Hanover Mall Cinemas 10 in Hanover, Massachusetts has closed.

A message on the Patriot Cinemas website states:

To our valued Hanover customers:

Regretfully, Our Hanover Mall location will NOT be re-opening. We are closed permanently. We are making way for the new future…Hanover Crossing. It’s been a great run. We would like to thank our loyal Hanover customers for their wonderful support over the last 20 years and look forward to seeing you at our locations at the Hingham Shipyard and Loring Hall Cinema in Hingham. **Please know that gift cards are honored at every location.

Located outside of the Hanover Mall on Washington Street, just south of Pilgrims Highway, the theater will be demolished as part of a major renovation plan for the mall site. A new movie theater will be constructed as part of the new "Hanover Crossing" mixed-use development.

Patriot Cinemas continues to own/operate two locations in Massachussetts and one in Maine. As the message above mentions, you can use any gift cards you may have wanted to use at the Hanover location at one of those theaters instead.

Moviegoers in the area will need to visit one of the other nearby theaters, including the Cameo Theatre 1 & 2 in South Weymouth and Mill Wharf Cinemas in Scituate and Patriot Cinemas - Loring Hall Cinema in Hingham.
