The Showbox Theater in Hopkinsville, Kentucky is planning a grand opening October 6, 2023.
Located along I-169 near the Fort Campbell Boulevard interchange, the five-screen movie theater was formerly known as the WK Cinemas under the management of VIP Cinemas, until it was purchased and renamed in October 2022. The theater closed earlier this year for renovations.
The news of the theater's reopening date was announced recently on its Facebook page with a video featuring owner Shane Pollock, where he said:
... we are approved and projectors are on their way... The best part is, we have an actual grand opening date scheduled now... the sixth of October is going to be our grand opening... We are so excited to finally unveil this to our community!
We're expecting showtimes for opening night soon, so to see what's playing and when, please visit the Showtimes page for the Showbox Theater.
Until it's open, moviegoers in the area will need to visit one of the other nearby theaters, including the Regal Clarksville & RPX and the AMC Classic Governor's Square 10 in Clarksville, Tennessee.
