The AMC Classic Central City 10 in Hot Springs, Arkansas has closed.
Located next to the Central City Shopping Center along Higdon Ferry Road just north of US Highway 70, the last time we received showtimes for the movie theater was Tuesday, March 14, 2023. The AMC website is displaying the following message on the theater's page:
AMC CLASSIC Central City 10 Has Permanently Closed
We hope to see you at our next nearest location: AMC Chenal 9
We could not find any explanation of why the theater closed, but AMC has been closing locations lately. Our Theater Closings tag in the News Journal section here is filled with AMC closures in recent months, including the AMC Classic Irving 10 in Irving, Texas, which also closed this week.
Moviegoers in the area will need to visit one of the other nearby theaters, including the Hot Springs 8 VIP Cinema in Hot Springs and the Cinemark Tinseltown USA in Benton. If you have an AMC gift card to use, you'll need to head to Little Rock to visit the AMC Chenal 9, but that's 40 miles away.
