The fourth installment of the Hotel Transylvania series, Hotel Transylvania: Transformania, was supposed to open in theaters today, October 1, 2021.
But it didn't.
What happened?
The movie has been rescheduled a few times since it was originally slated for an August 6, 2021 release, but rumors started swirling back in August that it might go straight to streaming via a deal with Amazon. And then, nothing.
The movie's official website and Facebook page both still say that the movie is opening today, but it is nowhere to be found across the United States. No definitive news could be found that a deal was struck with Amazon, and the movie is not listed in Amazon's Video store.
Our guess is that it will arrive on Amazon's streaming video store, probably some time in October to capitalize on the obvious Halloween tie-in. Until then, you can check out the showtimes and information pages for the previous installments for when and where they are playing in theaters, and links to how you can watch them at home!
