How to Watch the Academy Award Winning Movies

The 97th Academy Awards ceremony was held Sunday, March 2, 2025 and all the Oscar® statues have been handed out and engraved for the winners. If you're like me, the event renews an appreciation for movies in general, and sparks an interest in seeing those movies that won and those that were nominated that I might have missed.

A movie winning an Oscar enjoys the bump in publicity that comes from the festivities and attention, and the obvious question for movie fans is, how and where can I see _____? While we always offer the Academy Award® Winners and Nominees page that lists all the winners and nominees that are playing in theaters, some are also available for watching at home.

Following director Sean Baker's advice in his acceptance speech last night, if you can watch these movies in a movie theater, please do so! Nothing beats watching a great movie with an audience that is right there with you, experiencing the highs and lows of it all. When it all comes together, it can be a truly magical experience that is unmatched!
