The Alamo Drafthouse Cinema - Indianapolis in Indianapolis, Indiana is getting ready for its debut. Recent news reports mention that it will open November 18, 2024.

Located northwest of downtown Indianpolis along Lafayette Road near Lafayette Square Mall, the movie theater was previously known as the Georgetown 14 Digital Cinemas, which closed in 2020. It originally opened in February 2005 as the Republic Theatres - Georgetown 14 Cinemas. Texas-based Alamo Drafthouse Cinemas announced in October 2023 that it would be opening the location in Spring 2024.

Alamo Drafthouse Cinemas has more than 40 locations around the country. The closest location is the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema - Wrigleyville in Chicago.

The screen count is being reduced from 14 to 13, with a total seating capacity of 727. Each auditorium is equipped with Barco 4K digital projection systems with High Frame Rate (HFR) and 7.1 channel Dolby surround sound. The reclining seats have built-in tables and cupholders, and all seating can be reserved in advance.

The theater intends to show first-run releases next to independent and art house titles. Repertory and specialty programming will include monthly series and genre offerings.

Full food and drink menus are available, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts. Full bar options include specialty cocktails, spirits, milkshakes, and a local selection of draft beers. A kids menu also is available. Seasonal menu specials will be available, as well as specific specials for movie events as well as vegan options like the fan-favorite Buffalo Cauliflower, Supreme Vegan Pizza, and the Beyond Meat™ Vegan Burger.

Guests are encouraged to arrive 30 minutes in advance so that food and drinks can be ordered. Menus are available at each seat, and orders are done with a call button to summon a server to provide your selections.
