Alamo Drafthouse Cinemas will be opening its first location in Indiana in Spring 2024.

Located on the northwest side of Indianapolis, the 14-screen movie theater will take the place of the former Georgetown 14 Digital Cinemas, which closed in October 2020. Alamo Drafthouse Cinemas is renowned for its combination of watching movies and serving food and drinks to patrons' seats. It's also well-known for its no-texting, no-talking policy to keep the moviegoing experience free from such distractions.

Until we have a better name, we'll be calling it the Alamo Drafthouse Cinemas - Indianapolis. Be sure to watch the theater's Journal News page for updates!

While moviegoers in the area wait for it to open next Spring, they will need to visit one of the other nearby theaters, including the Tibbs Drive-in and the AMC Traders Point 12.
