The Regal UA Circle Centre in Indianapolis, Indiana has closed. Its last day of operation was October 31, 2024.
Located in the Circle Centre Mall in downtown Indianapolis, the movie theater originally opened in September 1995 as the UA Circle Centre Theatre. It offered nine screens, with two THX-certified auditoriums, and a virtual theme park called Starport. The theater was taken over by Regal Entertainment Group when United Artists was purchased in 2002.
Regal was taken over by Cineworld in 2017. The company declared bankruptcy in September 2022 and has been closing many locations since.
Moviegoers in the area will need to visit one of the other nearby theaters, including the IMAX Theater in the Indiana State Museum, the Living Room Theaters - Indianapolis, and the Kan-Kan Cinema in Indianapolis. If you have Regal gift cards to use, the closest locations are the Regal Shiloh Crossing and the Regal Greenwood, both of which are about ten miles away from the Circle Centre's location.
