The movie theater in the Grossmont Shopping Center in La Mesa, California has closed.

Located at Mission Valley Parkway (I-8) and CA-125, the 10-screen Reading Cinemas Grossmont with TITAN XC officially closed June 1, 2026. It was operated by Reading International, Inc., which has 12 locations around the country.

Where to Watch Movies on the Big Screen

Moviegoers in the area will need to visit one of the other nearby theaters, including the Regal Parkway Plaza and the Regal Edwards Rancho San Diego in El Cajon. The closest Reading International location is the Angelika Carmel Mountain in Carmel, which is about 15 miles away.
