The Showboat of Lyons in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin closed earlier this month. No official information is available, except for a short message posted to the theater's Facebook page that read as follows:

We are temporarily closed, sorry for any inconvenience.

Replies to that post from those familiar with employees displaced by the closure indicate that the theater will not reopen soon.

Moviegoers in the area will need to visit one of the other nearby theaters, including the recently-reopened Geneva Theater in Lake Geneva and the Plaza Theater in Burlington.
