The Cinemark Movies 12 in Laredo, Texas hasn't shown movies since all Cinemark locations closed in March 2020 due to concerns about the coronavirus pandemic, but now it seems that the theater will not reopen at all.
According to a news story published by KGNS (see below), Cinemark stated that the closure was a result of an "ongoing review of its theater fleet particularly in light of the impact of COVID-19."
Located along I-35 near the Kohl's department store off San Bernardo Avenue, about three miles north of downtown Laredo, the twelve-screen movie theater originally opened in 1993.
Moviegoers in the area will need to visit one of the other nearby theaters, including the Cinemark Mall Del Norte, the Regal Laredo Stadium 14 & RPX, and the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema - Laredo in Laredo. All three theaters are within five miles of the Movies 12's location.
