The Lewisburg Cinema 8 in Lewisburg, West Virginia opened on Friday, April 3, 2015. The 8-screen theater is the fourth location for GHTC Theatres, which now has three locations in West Virginia and one in Ohio.

The theater is located on Grand Avenue, behind the Lowes store, near the interchange of I-64 and N. Jefferson Street. Its web site lists the following amenities for the theater:

• Stadium Seating in all Auditoriums
• Front Row Recliners
• State-of-the-Art 3D in 4 auditoriums
• Plush, high-back rocking loveseat chairs
• Dolby Digital Sound in every auditorium

• All-you-can Eat/Self-Serve popcorn & drinks

The nearest competition for the new theater is the single-screen Lewis Theatre and the two-screen Marquee Cinemas - Seneca Showcase, both of which are within just a few miles. The Lewis Theatre appears to be more aimed towards specialty movies, so it may act as a complement to that location. The additional screens should help the new theater compete with, and perhaps overtake, the latter theater.
