The Regal UA Breckenridge in Little Rock, Arkansas has closed.
Located west of downtown Little Rock on the southeast corner of I-430 and Rodney Parham Road, the movie theater's last day was January 5, 2023.
The movie theater originally opened December 18, 1998 as the United Artists Breckenridge Village Theatre (aka UA Breckenridge Village). Regal Cinemas purchased United Artists Theatres in 2002 along with Edwards Theatres to form Regal Entertainment Group, and the theater became known as the Regal UA Breckenridge. By 2017, it was called the Regal Breckenridge Stadium 12.
United Kingdom-based Cineworld purchased the company in 2017, and then filed for bankruptcy in 2022 after suffering nationwide theater closures as a result of the coronavirus pandemic in 2020. While the company promised "business as usual," it has been closing locations since that announcement.
Where to Watch Movies on the Big Screen
With the closure of the Regal cinema, moviegoers in the area will need to visit one of the other nearby theaters, including the AMC Chenal 9 and the Cinemark Colonel Glenn 18 and XD.
