Warner Bros. Pictures announced this week that the Los Angeles World Premiere of Green Lantern will be held at Grauman's Chinese Theatre on Wednesday, June 15, 2011.

Attending the event will be Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Peter Sarsgaard, Mark Strong, Angela Bassett, Tim Robbins, Michael Clarke Duncan, and director Martin Campbell. Additional celebrity guests will be attending also.

Celebrities will begin arriving at 6pm and the screening begins at 7pm.

In a universe as vast as it is mysterious, an elite, powerful force has existed for centuries. Protectors of peace and justice, they are called the Green Lantern Corps. Warriors sworn to keep intergalactic order, each Green Lantern wears a ring that grants him the ability to create anything his mind can imagine.

But when a new enemy called Parallax threatens to destroy the balance of power in the Universe, their fate and the fate of Earth lie in the hands of their newest recruit, the first human ever selected: Hal Jordan.

Green Lantern stars Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Peter Sarsgaard, Mark Strong, Angela Bassett and Tim Robbins. It opens in theaters in 2D and 3D on Friday, June 17, 2011.
