The Metropolitan MetroLux Dine-In Theatres in Loveland, Colorado will open in June 2019, according to an article published recently in the Reporter-Herald:

The metal framework taking shape at the corner of Third Street and Lincoln Avenue in downtown Loveland soon will become a seven-screen theater showing first-run movies.

"The anticipated opening date is June 4, barring any major issues with construction or weather," said Natalie Eig, director of marketing and communications for Metropolitan Theatres Corp., owner of the MetroLux 14 in east Loveland and the new downtown theater.

The new movie house, the 16th for the Los Angeles-based family-owned company, represents a new concept for Metropolitan.

"It's going to be the MetroLux Dine-In," Eig said during a phone interview Friday.

That means the 600-seat theater in The Foundry development will have a separate restaurant and bar, name to be determined, and customers will have a variety of options, she said. They can enjoy a meal or a drink at the restaurant without taking in a movie, they can head straight to a luxury recliner in one of the auditoriums and order and be served there, or they can have a meal either before or after watching a show.

"It's going to be fantastic," she said. "This will be our first theater that is going to have the restaurant and dine-in concept."
