The Visulite Cinema - Lynchburg in Lynchburg, Virginia has closed, effective November 30, 2012. Their Facebook page simply states:

Unfortunately we are now CLOSED. We have enjoyed serving the Lynchburg community for over a year, and thank you all for your support and patronage.

The theater opened in August 2011 in the space formerly operated as the Carmike 8 - Lynchburg, which closed in April of that year. This October, they switched from an art-house format to showing second-run movies in response to declining attendance, but it seems the move was not enough to save the 8-screen theater.

Moviegoers in Lynchburg still have the Regal Cinemas River Ridge Stadium 14 and the second-run Cinemark Movies 10 - Lynchburg for options in town, as well as a few more choices for those willing to drive a few more miles.
